1 week...

Until classes go back. I'm thinking this Summer break has been a little too long (2 months) and our Autumn, Winter, and Spring breaks are never long enough. Kind of wish they'd re-arrange that. Got my hair trimmed today, did some last minute shopping for supplies. Did loads of washing because it's really hot again. Have to work tomorrow and make sure I'm organized by the end of the week!

It's too hot for the bunnies to be outside, so they're hanging out in the laundry today. They immediately trashed it... thanks, guys. Here they are on the couch with Frankie. :) I have extra dogs for the next few days too as some of our neighbours are away. Just under 2 weeks until classes go back!

1 year since we adopted him. And no, he's not eating a SpongeBob cupcake. It just looks that way :P

My parents are home...

They went down the South Coast for 2 weeks, leaving me on my own with my fur balls and my brother who works at night. We did ok, except for one incident where I had to change a light bulb, and Frank having some poop issues a few days ago!
Tomorrow will be one year since we moved house.. Today is 6 months since we lost Opi...
I only have a couple of weeks before my classes start up again, and I've been reading as many Veterinary books and magazines as possible- I accumulated quite a pile throughout last year that I had no time to read!

Thinking of..

All the people in Queensland and elsewhere affected by the floods.
And the people in Perth who have bushfires.
I wish there was more we could do.

Vegan chocolate cake.

It's not bad. But not really good either. Think I'll stick with vegetarianism.

Trip to the zoo (yesterday)

Yesterday, some friends and I went into the city for brunch, and then to the zoo. I'd been wanting to go for ages, so it was great to finally do it! We caught the ferry over, went on the sky car thing, and looked at lots of animals obviously!!! I loved the giraffes, and elephants, and turtles, and penguins, and monkeys... It was a really hot day though and we were constantly dodging families with strollers, so I don't necessarily recommend going on a Sunday in January!! We had to drive back in a storm, too, which was a little creepy!!
